Sapporo Bar for Dot Dot Dash
A project we worked on recently along side Event Production company Dot Dot Dash (DDD) for the Sapporo Beer bar at the Lunar Noodle Markets in Pyrmont, Sydney. Working with Diba from DDD to design the structure - the brief stated the structure had to be outdoors for two weeks, withstand the natural elements of high wind and rain, nothing could be fixed to the ground or damage the grass, and it needed to be an open plan space suited to the high traffic for the noodle markets. All whilst matching the Sapporo aesthetic.
Taking two weeks to reach the final design, including wind loading engineering sign off Tom and the workshop went about building the structure. Next was the bump-in down at Pyrmont Bay Park. The structure went up easily, and then the details such as rope, bar tops and DJ booth decorating was done. Definitely a few challenges throughout the day, but all was completed.
The end result was one the whole team were really happy with and loved how the finishes worked so well together. In particular, we all loved (and took too many photos of) the hanging rope detail.
